Murphy Wallbeds - The Original and the Best
At www.wall-beds.co.uk our aim is to supply you with the wallbed and cabinetry you want! All cabinetry is manufactured to order either in our standard sizes or bespoke made to your exact measurements. We offer two types of Murphy frame: the traditional 'wardrobe style' cabinerty with doors which open to the left and right, and the new Murphy Panel bed with 'panels' attached to the underside of the bedframe which fold down with the bed when in use.
A box room 2m x 3m can be converted into a bedroom/study room using the new Murphy panel bed.
As standard, wallbed cabinetry is available in economy and vinyl wrap finish:
Economy Cabinetry: (flat panel doors on chipboard with upvc edges in a number of
different finishes and wood textures)
Vinyl Wrap range offers a wide variety of profiled door styles for our folding beds on MDF. These units are supplied with an optional cornice (see Door Styles, Door Finishes, and Wallbed Examples).
As well as our standard cabinetry we can offer a bespoke service for our hideaway beds
which includes solid and timber veneer, leaded glass doors, and spray painted
finishes, together with additional wardrobes and home desking units. Just send us a plan
of your room with measurements and we’ll make some design suggestions.
The panel bed is ideal where there are adjacent units as the panels fold down under the bed when in use. The traditional cabinetry has wardrobe style doors which open to the left and right. The traditional cabinetry is suitable for self assembly by a competent diy-er or contractor, whilst the panel beds must be fitted by one of our fitters.
We recommend the traditional cabinetry for heavy use (especially for rental properties) as this frame has a leg which folds down automatically. Also the doors are more easily replaced if damaged by a careless tenant!
Whilst we predominantly supply the Murphy bedframe, we also supply and fit alternative folding bed frames such as Hideaway and Wentelbed. Please ask for more details.
Please note that our standard wallbed cabinetry is supplied without backs.

www.wall-beds.co.uk is part of David Jones Furniture Makers which is a family run business established in 1983. We are located in Hounslow in our own workshop premises and are independently financed with no bank loans or mortgages. We ask our clients for an initial deposit payment which reflects the cost of materials thus reducing any impact of bad debt.
We do not offer credit card facilities as we prefer not to have to pass on the additional 5% charge to our customers.
